Product Eligibility and Pricing Engine (PEP)

PEP allows for the rapid modeling of complex guideline rules via a flexible and intuitive user interface. Rules and qualification grids can be created using any of the thousands of fields in the SSI data model, from primary loan terms to credit checks or automated property valuations. PEP contains a number of powerful features that centralize management of eligibility over multiple channels and products, including:

  • Attach conditions to eligibility; for example require re-appraisal for loans in specific zipcodes
  • Organize rules into groups for maximum re-use (debt ratios, ARM terms, etc)
  • Overrides for specific sellers
  • Scorecarding to flag layered risk
  • Permanent retention of all exceptions and conditions at the loan level for use in due diligence, claims management, QC, and seller trend reporting

Implement Risk-based Pricing

SSI's adaptable pricing engine lets clients create and maintain totally customized pricing programs. Out of the box, PEP supports:

  • Uploading of daily base grids,
  • Channel, region, and seller-specific subsidies
  • SRP calculations
  • Price/rate adjustments based on any combination of loan attributes (FICO, Balance, etc)

SSI's unique configurable architecture lets new pricing elements and calculations be created in real time, giving clients a decisive time-to-market advantage in the introduction of new products and strategies. Clients have successfully configured the PEP engine to implement Agency gfee buy-up vs excess best-execution, intraday pricing based on hedge movements, and volume-based delivery premiums.

Ease of Administration

Our program editor is designed to enable complete management of programs with minimal IT involvement. New programs pass through a rigorous process of editing, QA and approval before becoming available for production use. Multiple versions of each rule, each with its own effective and expiration date, allow programs to be evolved dynamically without sacrificing control or historical auditing. Daily base rates and prices can be loaded from spreadsheet files, fed from other internal systems, or entered manually.
